Because nothing says “robot samurai” like a French name…”

One of the books Neill Brengettsey was hired to draw for Silverwolf Comics was Guillotine. The main character was basically a Samurai version of Robocop (with a french name). In the issue, Lance (from The Eradicators) is hired to hunt down and bring in Guillotine after he escapes from his creators.

There were a cover and 9 pages intended for Guillotine amongst the trove of art shared by Neill for his interview. From that interview:

“Guillotine was going to start off as a skeletal type robot and then he was going to get a more complete robotic body with clothing  — with a  Samurai type outfit…Guillotine was that old shoe about a man stuck in a robots body… Continue reading »

More unpublished Silverwolf Comics pages from ‘the stack’ sent by Neill Brengettsey. You can check out his interview with Moby’s! [HERE].

Here are what were to have been, as far as Neill and I can tell, the first three pages of the unpublished Silverwolf title, ‘The Deadly Dungeoneer‘.

-Neill Brengettsey

StechMock2Artist Neill Brengettsey, aka paime (Pay Me the artist) was a busy guy about the time Silverwolf Comics got started. Although he was never published by Silverwolf Comics, he worked on several titles including Stech, Guillotine, and The Deadly Dungeoneer. And thanks to the generosity of Mr. Brengettsey, Moby’s! has the original pages to prove it.

ALotofArtA quick post today, to share with you a bit of ‘B-Side’ artwork by former Silverwolf artist Neill Brengettsey.

I am working on a series of follow up posts to the excellent interview with Neill that was posted some time ago. That interview came with a nice stack of unpublished art, page after page that was meant for Silverwolf but was ultimately never used. You can read why in the interview.

On the back side of many of the pages Neill sent are doodles, practice or concept drawings, etc. I just wanted to share a couple of them with you, especially since I saw this first ‘B-Side’ I want to share. Continue reading »
