I decided to write this post here for a simple reason, one you too can easily see by going to this thread. In short, Jargon113 is complaining that a member of Digital Anarchy (DAclan) named mercnet1980 was team-killing for equipment in Battlefield 3, in this instance a tank. Multiple times. Well, Moby got behind three more kickstarts but first I guess I should mention that it is not looking good for HM4 at this point. I’m gonna keep my thoughts to myself, but Moby backed HM4 solidly, put up the links and adverts…so it’s sad to see the campaign struggling to be sure.
But on the plus side, three other kickstarts have gone through. One is for a superhero novel and the other two involve animated series trying to get going. Continue reading »
Ok, by now if you actually follow Moby’s! at all you’ll notice that I plug a couple of things that are using or plan to use Kickstarter campaigns, namely Hollywood Mogul 4 and the upcoming CJ Cherryh’s Foreigner Audio Movie. Kickstarter is a great crowdfunding site to be sure, and many great things have come out of it. Sometimes I like to just browse and see what’s there, what projects look like they are going to make it, which ones are not. It really tells you what kind of stuff people want, ’cause they are putting their money where their mouth is, so to speak. And then it happened. I think I actually face-palmed when I read:

Why a face book page? Seriously, I don’t know. I guess ’cause people expect there to be a facebook page and it is what you do when you have a blog and want traffic or something. So now there is one, and the peasants rejoice (cue music). And no, I am not on Farmville. Not yet, anyway.
