Moby’s! is proud to share another original commission by an original Silverwolf/Greater Mercury artist! This beautiful piece comes from celebrated illustrator and writer Phil Hester.

Mr. Hester got his start at Silverwolf, drawing several issues. Unfortunately, only two were published (‘Port #1 & #2) before Silverwolf closed it’s doors.

Mr Hester was very nice, even answering a few questions about breaking in with Silverwolf Comics and such. But first, here it is…

Original Art: Not Always A Bad Surprise

Nevermore01CovCarvalhoLast time I went on a bit about not quite getting what I had bargained for when buying original art. Sure, I forgot to ask questions, ignored a few obvious signs, but in the end it’s not like I was buying a Picasso or something. 

This time though, I want to share on of those few times I got MORE than I bargained for…and that’s a good thing.

The piece I’m going on about was one of the covers for Dean Koontz’s Nevermore #1, by Leno Carvalho.
