‘Have you seen…’ is my way of recommending something to watch, maybe something you have missed. Usually there are 2 movies and some sort of link. Originally these were posted to individual Pages, But I am updating the menus and so they are being redone as posts. Feel Free to comment and chime in with your thoughts on the picks.

Just to get it out of the way, of course you’ve seen this guy. This is Ted Danson. Ted has had a very successful career it seems. But in feature films, he gets mentioned or referenced more than he gets actual roles. One of the best was in Doc Hollywood with Michael J. Fox. I remember someone in a restaurant is overheard asking “Is that a celebrity?”, and the answering voice replies, “No, that’s Ted Danson.”

Yup. Sightings of Ted are little moments of triumph for starving actors and actresses everywhere, just trying to break through. You go, Ted. Continue reading »

Steve Martin is a funny guy. He once pointed out how the French do not speak English because they lack common courtesy. Well, it was funny the way he said it, trust me. Lucky for Moby those blokes in the UK do not display such a lack and produce their media in English and all, and so Moby was able to recently discover and absolutely enjoy an instant classic from BBC Radio called ‘Old Harry’s Game’. It is hands-down the funniest thing since…well, Steve Martin I suppose. Continue reading »

A long time ago Moby had a very long and boring night ahead of him and he needed something new to listen to; something new to pass the time and all. For a while back in the day CD’s were ridiculously expensive and Moby could not afford a full priced CD…so he bought a used CD out of a bargain bin for a dollar. It was a CD by this band he had heard of but knew nothing about, not even their style of music. That CD was ‘In My Tribe’ by 10,000 Maniacs…and I guess that album changed my life. Continue reading »

Why a face book page? Seriously, I don’t know. I guess ’cause people expect there to be a facebook page and it is what you do when you have a blog and want traffic or something. So now there is one, and the peasants rejoice (cue music). And no, I am not on Farmville. Not yet, anyway. So, while I am blogging away about something as stupid as a facebook page for a blog no one visits, I guess it’s a good time for a catch-all post. (cue music) Continue reading »
