These are individually crafted pens and styluses turned on a lathe in such a way that it brings a touch of nature to your writing.
This project was brought to my attention since I promote so many Kickstarters. Now, what do pens and styluses have to do with movies or comics? Not much, but like so many projects at Kickstarter this one is about something unique and hand-crafted, something that is a child of the creator’s passion. How could I say no?

Once I watched the video and learned a bit more, I gotta say Moby would not mind having one of these, they are beautiful after all. The burls and rare woods are infused with resin, so when finished they don’t feel like they are made of wood. Interesting.
A quick search turns up past Kickstarters for ‘hand-turned artisan crafted’ wooden pens and every one of those was successful, some wildly so. In fact, one of those companies is now selling their pens for over $175!
There are other artisan wood products available on Kickstarter in addition to the Wooden Writers project. Perhaps you need a fine pepper mill?
