The Stan Sakai Charity Action is still underway on eBay, and there’s still a lot of great artwork up for sale with more coming.
One of those pieces that was just sold was the piece below, a cover style piece by none other than former Silverwolf Comics artist Benton Jew.
Benton, along with his twin brother Anson, were the artist who took over The Eradicators when Ron Lim left Silverwolf. They only did one issue of the series, issue #2, before moving on themselves and being replaced by penciller Dane McCart.
It was a nice surprise to see a piece by a former Silverwolf artist in the auction, but unfortunately Moby’s bid of over $300 was not enough. So, yet another one got away…oh well.
I hope to be able to contact Mr. Jew for the traditional ‘Six Questions (or so) interview. Fingers crossed!
