I thought it would be nice to share something I did myself for a change. This one was done for a co-worker a long time ago. A nice girl at work asked if I could knock-out a Batman drawing for some kid or something. Of course I could, and I did.
This was lightboxed from a photocopy I had made and stuffed in a box for years. I recently came across it and have been getting back into comic art more and more, so I made a full, 11×17 copy for myself. It came out nice, too. I made a few minor improvements, my anatomy did improve since, but as you can see the lightboxed copy is pretty much just a larger version of the one the kid got.
This one is 11×17 on comic book art board (bristol) with an H2 pencil. I went ahead and did it as though it were for a cover, and I think it looks good that way. And yeah, I forgot to add a utility belt. Oh well.
